I struggled with very similar racist thoughts and viewpoints living in Orlando, Florida until I really began to see the scope of how deep rooted racism was inside everyone I knew – including my own mother who never harbored a racist viewpoint prior to our family moving down south.

Down south things are still so rooted in hatred from over 150 years prior. The whites hate the blacks, the blacks hate the whites, both blacks and whites hate Puerto Ricans, the Puerto Ricans hate the whites and blacks just the same, and don’t forget every other minority who happens to “steal jobs” from Whitey and the Darkies.

In 1990 (and this is something I don’t often talk about obviously) I began attending 12 step meetings for drug and alcohol problems I was going through at the time. As you can imagine, a good majority of those that attended those meetings were lower class whites, black people, and hispanics. Being around these people and having talked to many of them you begin to understand and realize how messed up society really is in regards to race relations and that it will never go away anytime soon.

Criminal mindsets are bred within people’s surrounding environments, not due to genetics and race. Have a lower class black family adopt a white child and I’m sure you can’t possibly think that child’s white skin would save it from being less criminally inclined.

The problem with a lot of white people’s viewpoint is that they come from this insane idea that racism is supposedly a thing of the past and that we as a society have moved past it. The problem is compounded along with that with what Exit hit upon – black culture breeds it’s own racism too with it’s violent gang culture. So we as white people chalk it up to every stereotypical thought pattern we know and that it’s self bred – meaning that black people simply “live on welfare”, do lots of drugs, commit crimes, refuse to work, etc out of completely their own doing. What’s wrong in that thought process is that we ignore what the rest of us do to compound the problem – rich white politicians, record label executives who profit from gangsta rap, and law enforcement who choose not to enforce the law in certain black districts…the list goes on.

It’s urban culture that’s to blame for your being victimized, not black skin – which unfortunately is caught up in the mess.

I’m not at all suprised, but just proves my point that there is a ‘Black Problem’ in this country. I say this with absolutely no insult intended, but rather to point out that years of political correctness have put up this stigma of being called a racist for calling pointing out when someone is a low-life.

It is simple, act like a criminal – get treated like one.

This doesn’t mean that I agree with the ‘n’ word. In fact I side with all that would love to see it go away. The use of it as a term of endearment within racial lines makes those that use it seperatists. I hate all racists, including black ones.

I have black friends and I know that you recently lost a young black friend to a sudden illness. This isn’t about people that are good people, this is about those who choose to follow a thug lifestyle and struggle to achieve ‘gansta’ status.

That to me is big part of the black problem: the continued worship of a violent and crime filled subculture. The youth have no positive roll models.
