Columbus murdered children and now we have a holiday. We also have a brand new show nearly one year to the date of the first Afterlife release. I blew the dust off my studio equipment, and got Al Lock of Ambush Radio to join me. We discuss his brief stint in politics, and we decide 34 is the true age of man in this ninth episode of POMP’s Afterlife – Al Becomes A Man. This show features sloppy editing, new music I produced with Avery Fantom, and three new Deep Tweets. Enjoy…

Avery Fantom – Earth Money

POMP’s Afterlife – Seven Things

There’s this new Seven Things meme spreading around the Internet like an STD. Basically the rules go as follows:

“Each player starts with seven random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. You need to choose seven people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog!”

As many of you know, I love airing my dirty secrets publicly. But rather than blog abut my random facts and habits, I figured why not record them in an audio form? So Al Lock joined me once again, and we did just that in a one hour and thirty-seven minute show I’m calling POMP’s Afterlife – Seven Things.

Music:

Avery Fantom – What’s Love Worth featuring Bobby Hook
Brad Sucks – Overreacting
Bad Religion – Infected

POMP’s Afterlife – What’s Up?

Just because I don’t leave my house, doesn’t mean drama escapes me. This week’s show is a throwback to Hate the Radio. It’s a more personal recording in the vain of POMP sessions. I don’t plan on doing these very often, but from time-to-time I will release them as I deem appropriate.

In this show I share two stories with Alan Lock, one about a home invasion in Colorado that my wife was involved in, and the other one is something I have never talked about publicly. I have close friends and family I’ve never even shared this story with.

So sit back, and try to enjoy a 32 minute confessional I call POMP’s Afterlife – What’s Up?

Brad Sucks – SoS (cover) w/TheHipCola
Brad Sucks – Gangsta Love
Jon Lajoie – Everyday Normal Crew

POMP’s Afterlife – Fantom Menace

As promised, I have a brand new offering to the Internets. Avery Fantom joins me once again to discuss love, homosexuality, and dog training — all with a sense of humility that is uniquely his. POMP’s Afterlife – Fantom Menace is a 41 minute (one-sided) conversation, that is typical of the drunken late night calls I regularly receive. It also features a slightly tweaked intro and two new Deep Tweets.

Music:

Brad Sucks – Total Breakdown

This is my final test record, and yet the audio quality is much improved over the previous Skype shows. I’ll be back in the New Year with brand new shows, recorded with brand new equipment. I will sound so goddamn good, you’ll swear I’m following you around the house with a microphone. Oh, and if you define “borked” as totally fucking something up, usually by doing something stupid. Then that is exactly what I did to my iTunes feed. But, it’s fixed now … so Subscribe away!

Ambush Radio – New Media

On POMP’s Afterlife – Brad Sucks, I discuss the concept of Old Media vs. New Media with my former Hate the Radio co-host Alan Lock. If you’d like to hear what that audio sounds like when it’s not edited by a tone deaf retard, you can listen to New Media in the Audio Player above, or head over to AmbushRadio.com for the download link, show notes, and other audio goodness.

Hate the Radio – Good Year

September 4th, 2008 by POMP

Hate the Radio - Good Year

Thirteen months and twenty-six days after “The Last Supper” was released, or exactly one year to the day I arrived in Houston — we have a brand new “annual update” for the few remaining people that still want to hear our voices. This is a nostalgic episode full of talk about our lives, and reminiscing about the old show. At nearly three hours long this is not a typical episode, but if you were a fan of Hate the Radio, I think you’ll dig it.

“Together again, but not really. The talkative three gather via Skype to discuss the past year’s events in each of their lives. Business as usual other than a bit more stability. It just so happens that at the time of recording all are quite happy with where their paths have taken them. Break and bumper music provided by Brad Sucks. Check out the new album release on September 8th.”
